Shortcuts
- Adding frames. (Press + and - in the keypad)
- Control + T to shrink selection or retime it.
- Shift + Z. To toggle activation/deactivation on a component. Its like deleting a key.
- F to key a frame You don’t need to select a controller or a component. If you key, it keys the whole frame for all the active components/controls
- Shift + A or Shift + D to go from back and forth on keyframe
- F6. Limit to interval in cascadeur
- Double LMB on a component to select its children too
Workflow
- Physics and inbetweening are not the same.
- You can use autoposing or the regular controls.
- But for the most part you are using auto posing. If you are using regular controls, might as well use other DCC.
- To access the regular controls, its on the top right icons like a display icon lol. It toggles other display too like wireframe.
- When to key the frames?
- need i activate all joints/controls if you don’t want to fully be at the mercy of the auto posing
- but its a bad idea. just do it on very specific scenarios
- need i activate all joints/controls if you don’t want to fully be at the mercy of the auto posing
- When to switch ik/fk and vice versa?
- fk on somersault.
- When do you actually unbake?
- animation unbaking if there is auto pjysics applied and you want to edit.
- animation unbaking can be done without the physics enabled.
- snap to physics. then unbake (and new method)
- no more that clamp bezier.
- It seems like every changes like ghosting or interpolation, you need to set a range. Otherwise, they don’t appear
- If the control is in the air, better for global rotation (like kickingi in the air)
- Soooo. You need to perform clamp bezier before you do the auto physics assistant. It will affect the auto physics assistant based on your key interporlation
Pending?
- Problem with simple jumping keys and the physics assistant blows up?
- When do you inbetween?
- Combine two characters?
- How to have import fk and convert it to IK?
- Fulcrum point?
- change fulcrum point. apply on the next interval
- show the center of gravity using fulcrum points
- fulcrum > fulcrum cleaning point.
- How to have local align mode.
- center of mass > composite.
- fixing interpolation on change interval (intervals only and the whole animation)?
- or auto posing, needed for retargeting copy and paste.
- i dont see the collision materal > pin option in my cube.
- Workflow?
- basically. animation unabking then physics then deactivate fixing interpolation on change interval then activate interval edit mode. what does this mean?
- Still no short cut to select all keyframes? you can ctrl+1 to tag te group, then press 1 to select the group
- YOU NEED TO CLAMP BEZIER PALA FIRST
- THEN AUTO PHYSICS AND NOT STEP THEN AUTO PHSYICS WHAT THE IF!
- disable FIXING INTERPOLATION ON INTERVAL. if mag modify habang naga auto physics pero kung i apply na nimo ang physics i enable nashift + middle key to copy paste frames. in ghost selection. toggle the key icon. to only show the ghost for key poses and not interpolated.
- right click to make it a pivot when selecting multiple points. NOOOICE it was so hard before
- Do this BEFORE Snap to Physics. Not sure why it wasn’t needed in this video. I assume it’s probably an older version of the software. Shortcut to select thelegs etc.
auto physics set priorirty frame. the ik and fk in the timeline hasa two buttons one for interpolation only and one for key. it matters since you can pose for ik which is easier but when being intpolated, you can use fk.
the green in the timline has nothing to with cache. it just means that there is enough fulcrum points. fulcrum points only matters if there is animation physics.
fulcrum points are more commonly on the feet (the on on the ground) but can also be on the hands especially if walking in 4 hours
